Glossary

Plain definitions, written to answer the question rather than to fill a page. Four of these are ARound's own words; the rest are the vocabulary of running a small business.

Business automation

Business automation is having repeatable work happen reliably without someone remembering to do it — follow-ups, review requests, reminders and records.

Business operating system

A business operating system is the single place a small business's goals, work, records and decisions live, instead of being spread across separate tools.

Conversion rate

Conversion rate is the share of people who take the step you wanted — enquiring, booking or buying — out of everyone who had the chance.

Customer lifetime value

Customer lifetime value is the total profit you expect from a customer across the whole relationship, not just their first purchase.

Genesis

Genesis is the part of ARound that works out what deserves attention in your business and gives that work to the right Specialist.

Google Business Profile

A Google Business Profile is the free listing that decides how your business appears in Google Search and Maps.

Lead response time

Lead response time is how long it takes to reply to a new enquiry. It is one of the few numbers a small business fully controls.

Local SEO

Local SEO is the work that helps a business appear when someone nearby searches for what it does, especially in map results.

SOP (standard operating procedure)

An SOP is a written description of how a recurring task gets done, so it comes out the same way whoever does it.

Specialist

A Specialist is someone you hire in ARound for a specific area of the business — marketing, sales, finance, customers, operations or your website.
